Arequipa is called The White City, for its old buildings made of volcanic rock; it is an amazing volcanic zone, but almost all of them are already inactive yet still remain a great attraction.

At either 09:00 am or 02:00 pm, our staff will pick you at the hotel in Arequipa city to go on tour at the following places:

Mirador de Yanahura (Yanahura Gazer): Located only 2 km from Arequipa city downtown, this attraction offers lovely old streets and a renowned church. This place is also well-known for its gazer, from where you can scan the entire valley and the Misti volcano.

Paucarpata: 7 km away from Arequipa city downtown, Paucarpata is proud to have wonderful churches with paintings from the colonial Cusco school. Here you will also find typical Arequipa restaurants.

Molino de Sabandía (Sabandia Mill): 10 km away from Arequipa city downtown, it is a beautiful mill built in 1621 and is still in use nowadays. From this place you can see amazing volcanoes such as: Chanchani, Misti and Pichupichu. This is a unique farming village with Inca constructions and many hot springs.

Sabandia has fine weather, it is usually sunny with some fresh breeze: it was founded in 1622 and restored in the 1970s by a Peruvian bank. The mill runs on the stream force of the little river.

Santa Catalina Monastery: The most important and impressive religious site in the city, it was founded in September 1579, by Santa Catalina of Siena. It was later closed until 1970. It is a must attraction in Arequipa city, which resembles a small village with its own streets and alleys.
